Scott Long, owner of PME Painting in Gastonia, North Carolina, is always looking for ways to make his day easier. That’s why he created a mySW online profile and downloaded the Sherwin-Williams PRO app.

We sat down with Scott to learn how the use of the PRO app with his mySW account is making his day easier.

What were the specific challenges that you hoped it might help with?

At first, I used mySW to view invoices and make payments, and for researching products.

Today, I use the PRO app and log into mySW to order all my paint and materials, check order history, place reorders, check pricing when doing estimates, view invoices and make payments, check specs or MSDS. I am literally on mySW every day, and I do it all from my smartphone through the PRO app.

How does this work?

Each time an order is placed, I get a confirmation email that the order was received. I get an email when the order is in progress, and another when it’s ready for pickup. Upon creating an order, I can view pricing for each product, choose the quantity and sheen of the paint, and list the colors I want, including custom colors. Once the order is placed, it allows me to list a job name, and whether I would like to pick up the order or have it delivered.

How does having a mySW profile help you in your day-to-day business?

I can wait in line for lunch and order paint without calling anyone at the paint store. I can order paint anytime of the day or night. It is so convenient. It makes my job as a business owner hassle-free. No more waiting in line at the paint store, or calling in orders over the phone.
