A new free training resource from Sherwin-Williams gives contractors the confidence to onboard their new employees and allows them to execute formal training focusing on core paint basics.
“We created the Painter Skills Program because we know that there is no formal training in the paint industry, and most contractors train their employees as they go,” says Gabby Torres, Marketing Director, Pro Contractor Programs, Sherwin-Williams. “As a strong partner to our Pros, we wanted to help them streamline their onboarding process and equip their employees for on-the-job success.”
What it is
The Painter Skills Program is a structured, three-day training resource that covers both theoretical and practical aspects of painting. It is available to Sherwin-Williams PRO+ members in English and Spanish.
Loaded with valuable tools to support the onboarding process, the program is composed of two parts:
1. Digital Resources for Pro Contractors
Includes presentations, handouts and videos for use while onboarding new hires.
2. Painter Skills Kit
Designed for you to provide for a new employee during the onboarding process. It includes a participant guide, certificate of completion and a T-shirt.
