Reach New Performance Heights: Selecting the Right Extension Ladders

< 1 min read

As we move into the busy exterior painting season, you’ll want to make sure you have the ladders needed to safely take on all of your work. With ProBuy® pricing on extension ladders at Sherwin-Williams, now is the ideal time to add or upgrade your ladders for 2021.

Size matters

Using the right size ladder is important. According to the experts at Werner, extension ladders should be 7 to 10 feet longer than the highest support or contact point, which may be the wall or roof line.

This will allow enough length for proper setup, overlap of ladder sections, height restrictions of the highest standing level, and where appropriate, the extension of the ladder above the roof line. The highest standing level is four rungs down from the top.

Sherwin-Williams carries a full line of Werner® aluminum extension ladders, including 16, 20, 24, 28, 32 and 40 foot lengths in three different duty ratings (225, 250 and 300 pounds).
